BEACH WATER TESTING AT EBB
Health testing of California's beaches has slumped to its lowest level since ocean monitoring became law more than a decade ago, putting swimmers, surfers and divers at greater risk of exposure to contaminated water, a Times investigation has found. For instance, according to the report, the frequency of water quality testing at Will Rogers State Beach has dropped 71% since 2005.

LA TIMES CLAIMS SUNSET IS THE 10TH WORST BEACH IN L.A.
Don't worry, it's not true. It stems from an error in Heal The Bay's Beach Report Card that came out yesterday. The report lists Sunset Blvd. and PCH at Santa Ynez drain as the #10 Beach Bummer. I suspect they actually meant Castlerock Storm Drain at Castle Rock Beach. The LA Times further amplified this error today, stating that Sunset at PCH is the 10th worst beach in L.A. I'm trying to get them both to fix their errors.
